The key to keeping your flowers
alive is to cut and re-cut the
stems. Most importantly,
re-cut the stems if the flowers have
spent any time at all out of water.
The veins in the stems allow the
flower to drink, and once out of the
water they will seal off in about
thirty seconds. Use a sharp
knife, and cut at an angle. It
is also a good idea to give the
flowers a fresh cut after they have
been in the vase for three or four
days.
